Love Serving PeopleVolunteer Agreement

Volunteer readiness

Volunteer Agreement

Love Serving People asks volunteers to serve with dignity, safety, confidentiality, accountability, and respect for the people and organizations we serve alongside.

Clear expectations before service begins.

This agreement supports safe, respectful volunteer service and helps Love Serving People document expectations before assigning volunteer roles.

Volunteer expectations

Serve within approved roles.

  • Follow confirmed assignments, schedules, and site instructions
  • Treat participants, volunteers, staff, and partners with dignity
  • Protect private information and avoid collecting sensitive records
  • Report safety concerns, injuries, harassment, threats, or unusual incidents

Volunteer safeguards

Respect boundaries and safety rules.

  • No unauthorized photos, recordings, public posts, or participant identification
  • No private-home entry, transportation, or unsupervised support unless approved
  • No volunteering while sick, impaired, unsafe, or outside role expectations
  • Additional screening or parent/guardian consent may be required for some roles

Acknowledgment

Volunteer service is confirmed before it begins.

The agreement does not create an employee, contractor, agency, or spokesperson relationship. Volunteer roles, schedules, requirements, and next steps must be confirmed by Love Serving People before service begins.

Volunteers may be asked to sign the PDF agreement and complete additional role-specific steps before serving, especially for opportunities involving minors, vulnerable adults, transportation, food handling, home visits, or sensitive information.
